This year I had so much fun recreating some of the favorites from last year (the first back to school collection) like the apple beret and the school dress. One of my absolute favorite pieces ended up being the items to make the professor’s outfit. I’ve had in in my mind to make a lapel thick jacket like that for some time, and I was able to figure out how to make it even with a contrast lining! However, the vest stole my heart and I definitely made one for myself. A large amount from this collection ended up being 70’s inspired, by accident at first and then I had fun leaning into it. My husband’s parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer and I got a lot of inspiration while going through their early day photos. I really loved the bell bottom inspired mushroom pants. I was also able to make a new addition to our beret line up with yellow pear! I’m thinking we might need a pumpkin one for Halloween.
